Mission

  • Uphold Malaysia's sovereignty
  • Foster friendly relations with the United States of America
  • Develop and defend Malaysia's interests in the United States of America
  • Ensure the safety and interests of Malaysians in the United States of America
  • Extend excellent and efficient services to the Mission's clients

Functions
Acts as the official representative of the Malaysian Government which includes matters related to political relations, economic affairs, security matters, social and cultural promotion. The Mission is geared towards fulfilling certain definite objectives.

• To manage bilateral, regional and multilateral relations with the U.S.A. and international organizations.

• To promote bilateral trade and investment with the U.S.A.;

• To carry out information activities in order to project Malaysia's image;

• To carry out supporting activities including service, general administration, finance, consular, security and communications.
