Authentication of Documents
 
Authentication or witness of signatures of all documents originating from Malaysia i.e. Power of Attorney, Statutory Declaration, Sale and Purchase Agreement, Malaysian High Court etc.
 
Please call the Consulate and make an appointment. You must be present to sign the documents in front of the Consular Officer.
 

On your appointment date, please bring the following documents to the Consulate General:

  1. Original and photocopy of your Malaysian Identity Card and Malaysian Passport.
  2. Original documents from Malaysia required to be authenticated by the Consular Officer.
  3. Fee of U.S. $7.00 (Money Order or Cashier’s Check Only, made payable to the Consulate General of Malaysia) for each Consulate General’s signature.
  4. A black ink pen to sign your documents.
  5. For the return of your passport and documents, please provide at least $30.00 money order, made payable to FEDEX or an airway bill with your FEDEX account number.

    The Consulate is not responsible for
    documents lost in mail.

 
*NOTE: Please enclose a copy of each document for the Consulate General's filing purposes. Maximum processing time for authentication of documents is 3 to 4 working days.
