Lost Passport |
| |
- Report the lost at the nearest Police Station
- Complete from Im. 42c (Borang Soal Selidik Kehilangan Passpot Malaysia)
- A copy of Police report with details on the incident

There are two ways in obtaining a new Malaysian passport: |

1. Apply for a new passport in the Consulate General
- You must complete form IM.42-Pin1/1997 and follow all requirements to apply for a new passport.
- Application From Instruction (IM.42-Pin1/1997)
Fill out sections - A (1-9), B (10), C (11), E (a-d).
- The Consulate General will send completed application directly to the Malaysian Immigration Department in Putrajaya for approval and issuance of new passport. This process will take between three to six months (sometimes more) to complete.

2. Apply for a new Malaysian passport personally at the Immigration Department in Malaysia.
- You must complete form IM.42-Pin1/1997 and follow all requirements to apply for an Emergency Travel Document
- Application From Instruction (IM.42-Pin1/1997)
Fill out sections A - (1-9), B (10), C (11), E (a-d).
- With the Emergency Certificate, you will be able to travel to Malaysia one way and apply for a new passport personally at any Malaysian Immigration Department.
