New Passport Application |

Malaysians residing overseas may apply for a new passport any Malaysian Mission on the conditions:
- Holds a valid Malaysian International Passport
- Holds a valid U.S. Visa or Green Card
- Return to Malaysia at least once every five years
- Application submitted 6 months prior to expiration date

Complete form: · IM.42-Pin1/1997 · Right Thumbprint & Signature Notarization(disregard if submit in person or new born baby) · Registration of Malaysian Citizens Abroad (must be completed by applicant) Note: Malaysians who fail to register with the Consulate on a yearly basis would face the risk of having their nationality revoked under Article 25(2) of the Federal Constitution.
Complete form: · E-CONSULAR *E-CONSULAR must be completed, printed and submitted together along with the registration form.

Documents required are as follows:
- Current Malaysian International Passport and photocopy of all pages on letter size paper, double sided.
- Original Malaysian Identity Card and a photocopy (front and back)
- Copy of Malaysian Birth Certificate / Malaysian Citizenship Certificate / Borang W (for child born abroad).
- Three (3) recent passport size photographs (DO NOT GLUE PHOTO ON THE FORMS)

- A copy of valid Visa/Green Card/Employment Permit/ I-20 (for student).
- Processing fee should be remitted by MONEY ORDER ONLY and made payable to Consulate General of Malaysia. No cash or personal checks are accepted.
*US$100.00 for new passport application. * US$50.00 for children below 12 years old * US$50.00 for student between 19-21 years oldwith a valid F-1 visa For the return of your new passport, please provide a separate $30.00 money order, made payable to FEDEX.

For children LESS THAN 18 years old, please provide:
- Original and a photocopy of the father's/guardian's Malaysian Identity Card
- A photocopy of father's/guardian's Malaysian Marriage Certificate
- a photocopy of father's/guardian's valid Visa/Green Card
- Father/guardian for children under three (3) year old must sign item no. 13 (on Bapa/Penjaga yang sah) as consent to issue passport to the child.

The Consulate is not responsible for documents lost in mail.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: All new passport application will be sent directly to Malaysian Immigration Department in Malaysia. Processing time will take approximately 4 months.
The Consulate General is not responsible for any delay due to unforeseen circumstances. Processing fee is subject to change according to exchange rate given by Malaysian Accountant General's Department.
